I’ve known her for 18 years, dating back to when she was with UNICEF and we traveled to remote areas of Mali to vaccinate women and girls against tetanus. Following a highly successful career at UNICEF she became even more successful as an entrepreneur by co-founding Apple Seeds, all while accomplishing superhuman athletic endurance feats. Anything Alison is engaged in grows to fruition like a lush garden, life simply springs around her, and all who associate with Alison will benefit greatly from her presence.

I have been business partners with Alison for the past 15 years and together we have raised 6 kids, built 2 businesses and have traveled the world (4 times on our annual mystery trip when we arrive at the airport without a plan and arrive in a foreign country a few hours later). I oversaw Alison’s work leading UNICEF’s global efforts with international sports organizations, as well as in her role as co-chair of the UN Secretary General's United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on the value of sports within the UN, which led to a UN General Assembly Resolution. Alison quickly secured partnerships and won the respect of leaders at the highest levels at FIFA and the IOC due to her bright, engaging and highly informed communication style, together with her focus, determination and keen strategic sense. She undertook regular country-level visits to UNICEF’s offices to provide direct support related to sports for development programmes. Struggling to leave a great job at UNICEF after her twin girls were born, I should have known that Alison’s characteristic energy and determination combined with her positivity and clarity of vision guided her entrepreneurial endeavors to success.
