The ELI tells you specifically how you respond to stress, and I’ve never seen a test that does that. I’ve never taken something that shows you your path to finding happiness in life, and I think that figuring out how we handle stress is the most important thing we can learn about ourselves. After the ELI, I’ve gained knowledge about how my daughter responds to stress, which has made me a more patient, understanding parent. It’s very hopeful; it gives you concrete solutions to stress and anxiety. It’s amazing, I loved it, do it!

When you experience level 1 energy, you may feel lost, stuck and fearful. Maybe you think you have no choice. Your mantra is "I can't" or "I lose."
When you experience level 2 energy, you feel angry and can be combative. You may hold resentment and get frustrated in the struggle.
When you experience level 3 energy, you may rationalize situations as "fine," but often to your own detriment. You lead with tolerance and use coping mechanisms to get by.
When you experience level 4 energy, you tend to focus on the needs of others and lead with compassion. You emphasize playfulness and take nothing personally but you risk not taking care of yourself.
When you experience level 5 energy, you tend to focus on win-win solutions and seek both calm and acceptance. You can move past your ego toward a more global perspective.
When you experience level 6 energy, you may be fearless and believe that everyone always wins. You trust your intuition and your creative genius and view others with non-judgment.
When you experience level 7 energy, winning and losing are illusions. You experience oneness, unconditional love and ecstasy, tapping into the joy of creation.
....but now it's time for something that's actually going to help you see a shift.
You’re probably familiar with Myers Briggs, DiSC, and Enneagram. These are valuable tools that can help you understand your strengths and weaknesses, and how to adapt your behavior to pursue personal excellence. The Energy Leadership Index (ELI) is classified as an attitudinal assessment that “captures how an individual currently perceives and approaches work and life.” When combined with a personally-tailored 1:1 debrief by an iPEC Certified Coach, the ELI assessment can help you look closely at where (and how) you’re investing your energy. Make a plan and adjust your priorities in support of your work and life goals.
I also got a lot out of the tracker we used every week. We set up personal goals and held ourselves accountable. I liked having the manual process to make sure I was doing the things that I was supposed to, and then you develop these as habits by the end of six weeks. And I loved being surrounded by a supportive community so I got even more out of the workshop the second time.

She brings warmth, positivity, and energy into my life. I love her creativity and her spirit. I just love being around her, so even when it’s virtual, it feels great. I was able to pivot my own daily routine to incorporate the little bites of exercise and meditation, and it helped tremendously. I want to keep taking classes because it’s a continuing growth process and I know that each time I’m going to learn something new.

The work you do is a commitment to oneself—an opportunity to learn more about your personality, or lay out the things you want to accomplish. Alison teaches you that you already have what it takes to succeed. And the work was actually a tremendous amount of fun!

My identities have shifted over the years, but my driving desire has always been to follow my curiosity, to trust my intuition, and to keep the spark inside of me blazing brightly. I've learned that playfulness and adventure are antidotes to stress and uncertainty.
I am a play specialist, parenting expert, and certified life coach who helps people get unstuck, find more purpose, rediscover their sense of play, and (like a good handstand) balance work and life. I traveled with UNICEF creating play programs around the world, and then co-founded two award-winning businesses, focused on children’s learning through play: apple seeds and songs for seeds. As a life coach, I notice that the first thing many adults lose is their sense of play and their ability to prioritize it in a busy life. I am dedicated to helping people shift their energy, rediscover what brings them joy, and then create actionable steps to find more fun and meaning in their one precious life.
I was a little apprehensive about being the only male in the workshop, but no one’s more welcoming than Alison. I really haven’t experienced anything this organic or authentic—it really sticks with you. It will be the hour you look forward to every week. I’ve taken the course twice already—I’m kind of addicted to it!
Michael from New Canaan
I always looked forward to the sessions, and having somebody hold me accountable was really helpful. The self-care becomes a habit and you don’t want to stop. I wholeheartedly believe in Alison and the tools she teaches. She genuinely wants to help you and give you inspiration. People see a difference in you when you take care of yourself because you create your own happiness, and then you want to share that happiness with everyone.
Mandi from Houston, TX
I opted to do the workshop a second time because there was just so much valuable content. It was life changing. Now I have a new career in teaching art! And I’m sleeping more and reading again. It’s given me the gift of finding myself and discovering my passions. I’m just forever grateful—for her friendship and guidance.
